From Tuesday, September 23rd through Friday, September 26th, community members are invited to explore The Way Were: Roxbury Black Wall Street, 1900-1965, a multi-day series of research presentations, oral histories, and performances on Roxbury’s rich history. This four-day celebration of Black entrepreneurship, art, culture and history was envisioned, curated and planned by Marie Firmin, CEO & President of BlackBiz Development Group LLC and an active member of the Roxbury community.
