Fort Point Dragon Boat Festival

Come celebrate and learn more about Boston’s long tradition of dragon boat histories, rituals, and racing. This public cultural festival is co-organized by Boston-based artists Lani Asunción (@lani.asuncion) and Joanna Tam (@joanna_tam ), working together as the 2025-2026 Reckonings Project Hidden Histories Artists-in-Residence  on their residency,  “Weaving Through History and Activism in Boston Chinatown,” drawing on archival research on Chinatown and dragon boat histories at the Northeastern Archives & Special Collections. At this event, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in participatory art and community activities. The artists in collaboration with Pao Arts Center (Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center) also invite local performers to join the event.  Local performers interested in joining the event should reach out to Pao Arts Center @paoartscenter.
